Project 1
(Part II)
Dream Colors

Objective
To demonstrate how the application of color can reveal parts of a personal identity and express aspects of the unconscious.
Project
Overview
Reverse the content of someone else’s dream image, no larger than 11”x 14”, turning a dream into nightmare or vice versa. Focus on how color changes the content— do not change the imagery severely.
Process
First: Exchange the dream image file with someone else.

Second: Using only the source images used in the original, adjust to contrast, hue, saturation, color, etc using adjustment layers of each image to make them feel nightmarish.  It may be easiest to do this on the sources rather than the final collage.

Third: Layout the materials in a new way to construct your creepy image.

Fourth:  Post a png/jpg of both the original dream composition you were given and your modified nightmare to the blog.
