I really like your use of complementary colors. Your image is very symbolic and the "D's" in the middle coming off the "A" reminds me of wings. I think that to improve your picture you could try saturating the colors on the white side a little to make them pop more.
the mirrored effect works really well for the word! I like that the opposing sides have colors that compliment each other.
